About Us
Kamps Exteriors has been in business for seven years, but its founder and president, Nick Kamps, has almost two decades of experience in the industry. After managing construction crews and contractors for a large regional firm for several years, Nick became aware of a void in the industry. At that time, the industry was comprised of either very large companies or one-man shops. He perceived that there was a need for a company big enough and experienced enough to take on large projects, but small enough to listen to the to the individual needs and concerns of their customers, regardless of the size of the job.
Today, Kamps Exteriors uses eco-friendly construction and installs products that provide energy conservation and reduce energy costs. They exercise the eco-friendly and judicious use of materials and installation techniques, and they are fully licensed and assiduously follow and stay up to date on all building codes. By continually monitoring the industry, they stay informed on all developments and changes to standards and regulations. With their expertise and knowledge, they can bring even the oldest house up to code.
Kamps Exteriors has 10 professional crews they can assign to their customer projects, and this has allowed them to take on large siding and exterior jobs such as several student housing projects at Grand Valley State University, and many large, elaborate Parade of Homes houses. But their personal touch has extended to smaller jobs, such as one homeowner who was in jeopardy of losing his homeowners insurance until Kamps replaced four damaged pieces of siding from a window replacement by another company.
Today, every customer receives personal attention from the top of the company down. Every call goes directly to the owner. They don’t go to salespeople, or entry level staffers, or marketing people working on commission. At Kamps, ownership involvement begins with your first conversation and continues to the completion of every project.
